If you find yourself in a situation where you don’t have enough resources to feed yourself or your household, Good Cheer is here for you. There are no additional eligibility requirements to access services.
The food bank is set up as a grocery store so you are able to choose the food and personal care items that are right for you. All items in the food bank are “priced” with points. Each household gets a specific amount of points based on the number of people to “spend” on the specific items they need. Points are issued on the first of the month and can be used for the entire month. You can come as often as you need until you are out of points. Leftover points do not roll over to the next month.
If you are not able to visit the food bank during our hours of operation, Good Cheer is still here for you.
- Is there someone who can come shop for you? Once you’re signed up to use the food bank you can call or send a signed note stating who is allowed to shop on your behalf and the time frame (ie. just once or ongoing). Call 360-221-4868 if you have any questions.
